Daily Recap
Ohio lawmakers won’t be amending the state’s voter-approved cannabis law this year despite a Republican-led push to expedite changes. The Senate passed a bill to make changes and a House committee held a series of hearings on a different proposal but they won’t be sending reform to the governor until after the holidays, at the soonest.
New York Minute
A top New York cannabis regulator says she expects the state will open a dozen new marijuana shops before the end of the year now that the court-imposed blockade on processing licenses has been lifted.
Those dispensaries will be located in the Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn but that’s just the beginning of a licensing wave that’s expected to continue into the new year.
The Keystoner State
Pennsylvania’s legislature sent a bill to the governor’s desk that would allow more of the state’s medical marijuana growers and processors to act as retailers and let more of the state’s retailers grow and process cannabis.
Sorry Charlie S.A.M
