SCOTUS, Administrative decisions loom.
Daily Recap
Ohio lawmakers have approved a far-reaching overhaul of the state’s voter-approved cannabis system, with the Senate giving final passage to Senate Bill 56 and sending it to Governor Mike DeWine for his consideration.
The measure would make it unlawful to consume any adult-use product in a public place, including edibles such as gummies, punishable with a $150 fine, and illegal to possess cannabis that wasn’t purchased in the state of Ohio.

California’s state government was handed an embarrassing court loss after an Orange County judge ruled that the Department of Cannabis Control failed to comply with its own laws designed to stop illegal cannabis from leaving the state.
The regulator has been accused of looking the other way as legal canna farms illegally ship billions of dollars of product out of the legal system across the world. The ruling affirmed DCC never implemented a tracking system necessary to curb that illegality.

Florida State Representative Bill Partington (R) filed legislation that would significantly revise Florida’s MMJ framework, including expanded eligibility, longer card durations, and major changes to physician requirements and supply limits.

On Tuesday, an Indonesian court sentenced the 35-year-old to 26 months. The decision marks a sharp departure from the death penalty that police and prosecutors floated earlier.
