One of the unexpected benefits of traveling to upstate New York this past weekend to watch our son’s Binghamton lacrosse team take on the Great Danes was realizing that PharmaCann’s flagship Verilife store was five minutes from the SUNY-Albany campus.
Regional Director Kelsey Robinson and GM Haley Conklin greeted me at high noon on Saturday and told me the store was in the process of relocating to a more consumer-friendly location in Latham. Luckily, I wasn’t there to see the store, per se, but rather to conduct rigorous due diligence across their product line to ensure quality control.
I’ll leave out my assessment of the infused dark chocolate raspberry mothball bites, the infused peanut butter caramel pretzel chocolate bites and the infused Ecuadorian dark chocolate bar, lest my wife happens to read this in which case I never got those.
I knew from the NY launch party that their Magnitude vape pens were superb but just to be sure, because you can never do enough quality assurance, I grabbed some Platinum Jack, Blueberry Indica, Sour Diesal and Cherry Kush for good measure.
Ditto their P3 line of infused blunts and prerolls, which they told me are flying off the shelves. I’ve tasted these before and suffice to say that if you enjoy good herb and love edibles, these allow you to marry those passions without having to choose.
Alas, I’m a purist, a flower guy; the smell, the taste, the process; so with all due respect to innovation, and maybe it’s just me, but it always comes down to the quality of bud.
This is where I was most impressed. As a New York resident, I’ve been waiting a long time for legal cannabis, a longer time for the state to get out of the way and an even longer time to be able to get top-notch weed— 🔥 —from a legal state enterprise.
That wait was over.
Their soon-to-be-rebranded ‘nursery flower’ was—by far—the best that I’ve found in New York, if Papaya Jack, Devil Driver and Kush Mints were to be believed, although I caution readers that a lot more testing will be required to confirm these results.
Enjoy your ride, stay safe and please enjoy responsibly.
