The majority of adults who consume cannabis to treat a medical condition say that it improves their symptoms, according to survey data published in the Harm Reduction Journal.
Ninety-seven percent of those surveyed said that their condition “was a little, much, or very much better since starting medical cannabis,” a finding that is consistent with the results of prior surveys and observational trials.

More than nine in ten nursing students believe that patients should be legally able to access medical cannabis, but few report receiving sufficient training while in medical school, according to survey data published in the journal Nurse Practitioner.
Researchers in Boston surveyed over 100 nurse practitioner (NP) students and 94% of the respondents said that “medical marijuana should be legalized in all US states.”
Individual Rights
A federal appeals court panel ruled in favor of a Texas woman whom judges described as a “non-violent, marijuana smoking gunowner,” affirming a lower court’s ruling that federal charges filed against the woman for owning a firearm as a cannabis user are unconstitutional.
“The short of it is that our history and tradition may support some limits on a presently intoxicated person’s right to carry a weapon,” the court wrote in the new opinion, “but they do not support disarming a sober person based solely on past substance usage.”
