Thanks for this. I read another research shop's take on the Schumer interview and it seems like they totally interpreted it the wrong way. I agree with your thoughts that this new legislation will be in the spirit of the States Act, which is amazing for the US MSOs. I would argue it's very favorable for the small/mid-sized MSOs as some Canadian LPs + traditional CPG companies may decide States Act is "good enough" to enter the market. If they do, acquisition will be the fastest way to gain a multi-state footprint.
About the only thing I like coming from Schumer. Medicinal mariajuana does wonders for pain from degenerative discs and other medical needs. Been great revenue sources for states. Hope the other states get into a 21st century mentality and get out of the 60's Dragnet mentality.
As a hemp grower for CBD flower, I’m excited by the prospect of legalization. Maybe we can advertise our product and not be treated as a narcotic, even though CBD is legal federally.
